Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot missed the Europa League tie with LASK due to injury.
According to The Manchester Evening News, as per @utdreport, the former Portugal U21 international suffered another setback and has not trained for the last week.
Samuel Luckhurst revealed Dalot reported to Carrington training ground on Tuesday and returned on Wednesday morning for treatment alongside his teammate Luke Shaw.
The Red Devils had high hopes for the 21-year-old after beating Barcelona to his signature in 2018 but he has failed to hit the ground running at Old Trafford.
The versatile player started only one game in the Premier League last term and last featured in the top flight in February, having made a mere eleven appearances in all competitions.
Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already put plans in motion for a big summer clear-out to get rid of all the deadwood after Inter Milan signed Alexis Sanchez on a three-year deal earlier this week.
It is understood that the Red Devils consider Dalot surplus to requirements, amid reported interest from the 26-time La Liga champions, and he could find himself on the way out the door in the summer.
Naturally, many United fans slammed the “flop” on social media, with some supporters tweeting he is “useless” and “made of glass” in reference to his injury record, while another added he is “average” at best. It is worth pointing out he received a lower WhoScored rating than his teammate and fellow young full-back Brandon Williams.

Yeah, he's off.
Lukaku had the same "injury."

I don’t get why players like Dalot have such a dedicated base in our fans. He’s rarely been healthy enough to play and when he has he looks more like an average winger than fullback.

It’s time to leave

If he can’t stay fit he’s useless for us. Any player injured more than 70% of the time over 2 seasons should automatically be replaced. Repeated injuries are either lack of professionalism or physical deficiencies

Damn we need a new fullback desperately! All so injury prone only AWB you can rely on
