'Terrible', 'Good riddance' - Lots of Man Utd fans blast 'deadwood' as news emerges https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Manchester United are willing to sell Jesse Lingard this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

That’s according to The Guardian, as per @ManUnitedZone_, who revealed that the Red Devils are ready to listen to offers for the England international, who has won 24 caps for his country.

Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admires the right winger but he is considered surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Lingard has scored in his past two games, bagging his first Premier League goal of the season as Solskjaer’s side beat Leicester City at the King Power Stadium to qualify for the Champions League and then scoring the equaliser during Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over LASK in the Europa League.

Despite his best efforts, the 27-year-old, who counts himself among Marcus Rashford’s best friends at the Theatre of Dreams, seems destined for the exit.

It is worth remembering that his strike against the Foxes was the academy graduate’s first league goal since he bagged a brace during Solskjaer’s first game in charge in December 2018.

Unsurprisingly, some United fans blasted Lingard as “deadwood” on social media, with one supporter tweeting that he is “terrible” in reference to his poor form, while another added “good riddance”.

Scroll through some of the scathing reactions so far…
