ROMA received a scare this week after unexploded World War Two bombs were discovered at their training ground.
The Italian army and their bomb squad were called to Trigoria to remove the devices which were found buried in the turf during work to build new pitches at the complex.

Italian outlet Il Messagero reported there were around 20 of the foot-long bombs unearthed as Roma’s Twitter account shared pictures of soldiers safely removing the World War Two relics.
A club statement on Saturday said: “Well, this doesn’t happen every day…
“A big thank you to the Italian army and their bomb squad, after they safely and successfully removed a number of devices dating back to the Second World War from the club’s training centre at Trigoria this week!”
Fortunately no one was hurt during the removal of the bombs.
Roma themselves have been in some explosive form this season, sitting third in Serie A and currently 11 games unbeaten in all competitions.
Paulo Fonseca’s side travel to Napoli on Sunday night in what is sure to be an emotional evening following the passing of Napoli legend Diego Maradona this week.
Maradona played for Napoli between 1984 and 1991, winning two league titles with the club.

How Chelsea could line-up against Tottenham with Christian Pulisic set to return with Thiago Silva and Havertz starting https://ift.tt/2JiKtfb
FRANK LAMPARD has a selection dilemma in attack when welcoming Tottenham to face Chelsea this weekend.
Christian Pulisic is due to return to the side, providing a fully-fit squad for the Blues boss to pick from.
Already, Lampard has confirmed the American’s availability following a hamstring injury.
Kai Havertz is also in line for a first start since October having overcome coronavirus.
That means some big names are going to have to sit out Sunday’s London derby.

Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham have both enjoyed a run in the side since their colleagues’ injuries.
And Lampard may have to pick between the two if Havertz and Pulisic are to start down the flanks.
Where Hakim Ziyech fits in is also up for debate with Chelsea having to decide how offensive their approach will be versus Jose Mourinho’s wily Tottenham.
Matteo Kovacic and Mason Mount are trusted by their boss to work hard at both ends of the pitch and could get the nod this weekend.
Having started on the bench in the midweek win at Rennes, N’Golo Kante should return to the XI and replace Jorginho.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Olivier Giroud both scored in the late victory but will likely have to make do with substitute roles against Spurs.
In defence, Reece James was also taken out of the line-up in France and is fit to re-form Lampard’s preferred back-four alongside Thiago Silva, Kurt Zouma and Ben Chilwell.
Tottenham travel to West London sat top of the table with Chelsea back in third.
Toby Alderweireld (hamstring) and Erik Lamela (foot) will miss the trip while Matt Doherty (coronavirus) is a doubt.

How Man Utd could line-up at Southampton as Solskjaer faces injury crisis with Pogba, Lindelof and Wan-Bissaka doubts https://ift.tt/2V4xY9y
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER could be without Paul Pogba again when Manchester United travel to Southampton on Sunday.
The Frenchman has missed two games in a row due to an ankle knock.
If he fails to make the starting XI at St Mary’s it could mean a first Premier League start for Donny van de Beek.
Having impressed in the 4-1 win over Istanbul Basaksehir, he may finally get the call in the league to provide further creativity in the middle of the park.
Solskjaer will have to decide between the playmaker and a more defensive option such as Nemanja Matic or Scott McTominay, to partner Fred in his 4-2-3-1.
Read our Man United live blog for the latest news from Old Trafford
The decision may be affected by the availability of two of his first-choice defenders.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a doubt after picking up an ankle knock in midweek and Victor Lindelof has a back problem.
Both men were taken off during the Istanbul win and Solskjaer may hold them back for the following Wednesday’s game with Paris Saint-Germain.
Solskjaer told BT Sport in midweek: “Hopefully they’ll be ready for the weekend.
“It’s ankle for Aaron and back for Victor. There was no point taking any more risks.”
Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah stand by to fill in with Eric Bailly fighting to be fit after suffering a muscle injury.
Luke Shaw will miss the game with a hamstring problem and coronavirus may continue to keep Jesse Lingard on the sidelines, with Phil Jones also out.
In attack, United have to decide whether to continue with Edinson Cavani down the middle.
The Uruguayan impressed when starting on Tuesday but hasn’t played back-to-back 90 minutes since February.

If he starts, Solskjaer can either keep Anthony Martial on the flank or return Juan Mata to the starting XI.
After the Istanbul win, the Norwegian said: “Edinson is a good old fashioned number nine and we haven’t had that for a while.
“And I was happy with how Anthony played off the left.”

Man Utd banned from fan return in tier 3 but Arsenal and Chelsea to have 2,000 in next week for first time in 9 months https://ift.tt/2Jallai
LONDON clubs have been given the go-ahead to welcome fans back to stadiums from next week.
The Government’s new coronavirus lockdown tier system comes into place after December 2 with Manchester and Leeds facing the biggest restrictions.
On Thursday, each area of the country discovered which tier it was being designated.
London and Liverpool were among the areas in Tier 2, allowing 2,000 fans back into stadiums with social distancing.
That means Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham, as well as Brighton, will be able to open their doors for the Premier League fixtures on the weekend after next.
Crystal Palace, Fulham, Southampton and Everton have the green light to host supporters the week after.
But Wolves, Leeds, Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle are among the teams which must keep their games behind closed doors.
Burnley, Aston Villa, West Brom, Leicester and Sheffield United complete the list of clubs in Tier 3.
Arsenal will hope to be the first club to welcome back fans on December 3 when Rapid Vienna visit Emirates Stadium.
That match comes eight-and-a-half months after coach Mikel Arteta tested positive for coronavirus, which heightened calls for football’s abandonment in England.
Not since March 9 have fans been allowed to watch a live Premier League game – Leicester’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa.
What followed was a three-month shutdown of the game while the country entered a strict lockdown.
Top-level football returned in June and the season was seen out behind closed doors, with countries such as France and Germany initially allowing limited numbers in.
The UK Government also authorised fan trials in the summer until a second wave of the virus delayed their plans.

LIONEL MESSI and Cristiano Ronaldo have been named as the richest footballers in the world.
France Football have compiled a list of the top ten best-paid players on the planet in the past year.
And there is just ONE Premier League player on the list – who also happens to be the only Englishman too.

And he just narrowly pips Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann, who is on £35.25m.
Real flop Eden Hazard is fifth with £32.06m.
And despite playing for Japanese side Vissel Kobe, veteran Andres Iniesta is still making bank with £31.14m.
